Our distance was a bit longer than we initially intended today. After a somewhat less extreme, then a very steep ascent we eventually reached the Memminger Hütte. The vistas along the way were breathtaking. Pictures cannot capture it. We crossed scree and high alpine passes. We even saw a magnificent herd of Alpine Ibis. The hut was cozy, though we did shower without privacy and sleep in a dormitory beside complete strangers. Food was decent. Smadar has seen enough cream sauces to last her a lifetime. She is eating a lot of cheese and bread. Overall a real experience.
