E5: Oberstdorf to Merano

Smadar, Florence and I will soon embark upon the E5 hike. Over time the E5 has been expanded. It now runs from Lake Constance in Switzerland to Verona in Italy.

We will be hiking the section from the southernmost point of Germany, Oberstdorf, across the Austrian Alps, to Merano, Italy. The hike consists of six stages and is about 104 km long. After our crossing, we will go to Mayrhofen (AT) in the Zillertal, to do a series of day hikes.
